Shania Wilfong, LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Shania Wilfong earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from California State University of Long Beach. She moved to Las Vegas in 2005 to attend the University of Nevada Las Vegas Social Work Program. Shania is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Nevada and Georgia.
Her clinical experience is varied and includes servicing adults and adolescents in the criminal justice system, working with children and adolescents in crisis, and assessing adults, adolescents, and children in need of acute psychiatric and rehabilitative levels of care. In her practice, Shania works to empower her clients and believes it’s important for each client to play an active role in developing a healthier self. By using a strength-based approach, Shania works with her clients on identifying healthy and adaptive ways to cope with everyday stressors. In addition to talk therapy, she uses mind-body exercises to help clients process through past trauma, anxiety, and problems with relationships. With training in trauma-sensitive yoga and bodywork, it is her belief that by combining talk-therapy, mindfulness practices, and movement, healing can begin. Through a mind-body approach, her clients are able to experience a sense of relief, which promotes integration and holistic recovery.
In addition, to her work as a therapist, she is working toward completing a 200-hour yoga teacher-training program. She is passionate about sharing the benefits of yoga and meditation and bringing the practice to people who might never set foot in a traditional studio.
Shania will work with you to find creative solutions to your life’s challenges and help light your path to clarity.
