About Sara Marchon, LCSW

Identifying goals for therapy is a collaborative process during which Sara works with her clients to first identify and then build upon strengths while, simultaneously, finding their voice. Sara’s clinical practice focuses on the use of cognitive, behavior and psychodynamic therapy techniques to help her clients achieve their identified goals.

In 2010 Sara Marchon earned her Bachelor’s degree in Human Services Counseling with minors in both Addiction Treatment and Addiction Prevention from UNLV. Sara then immediately enrolled in the Social Work Master’s program while also working as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. She became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in August 2017.
Sara works with both adults & adolescents and has a diverse clinical background including, but not limited to: court mandated treatment, substance abuse, acute psychiatric crises, trauma survivors, mood and anxiety disorders, as well as psychosis.
Prior to joining IPS, Sara worked as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor at Choices Group, INC and was then hired as a social worker for Choices Group, INC, upon completion of her graduate degree. Most recently, Sara has worked part time for Spring Mountain Treatment Center as a LCSW on the adult and adolescent unit and full time as a School Social Worker for the Clark County School District providing individual and family support for students K-12 who are receiving services through the special education program(s).
